Ubisoft recently announced their new free-to-play FPS and confirmed that Tom Clancy’s XDefiant will be coming to Amazon Luna. This is great news for the cloud gaming platform since the game will also feature full cross-play between all platforms.
However, Ubisoft has confirmed that Amazon Luna will not be included in the closed tests for the game. The first closed test will begin on August 5th and is exclusive to US and CA players. It will also be available for PC, Xbox and PlayStation platforms but not for any cloud gaming platforms.
While the first test will not include Amazon Luna, Ubisoft is planning to have multiple closed tests before the game reaches open beta or full release. It’s thought that XDefiant will be getting some kind of beta test on the cloud gaming platforms it’s due to release on. The upcoming game doesn’t have a release date yet, providing plenty of time for an Amazon Luna test event.
