Amazon’s MMORPG is reportedly bricking RTX 3090 GPUs

New World will be coming to Amazon Luna but the current closed beta test is exclusive to the PC gaming platform Steam. Various reports have emerged online claiming that their new RTX 3090 GPUs have been ‘bricked’ by the game. This means the game has broken them.

Amazon has responded to the issue on the official New World forums. They believe it is due to the driver settings and frame rate limiters for the RTX 3090 series. While other GPUs are also seeing problems, the EVGA RTX 3090 seems to be getting the more reports with one user claiming that two of these cards have died trying to play the game.

Despite Amazon giving advice, they do not believe the failures are due to the game. EVGA has not responded yet to this issue and potential fault with their graphics card.
