Action-packed adventure games are everyone’s favorite as they offer exciting twists and thrills at every corner. The Mummy Demastered is one such game that is based on the Metroidvania style. The game was released in 2017 on all major gaming platforms, including Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The Amazon Luna version appeared with the service’s early launch in late 2020. Mummy Demsatered is a highly desirable game as WayForward Technologies – the developers – based it on the ‘blockbuster’ movie The Mummy.
Story
The game universe is set at the same time as the movie, so you get to witness your favorite movie characters in a unique setting. You get the chance to play the Prodigium soldiers that are under the command of Dr. Henry Jekyll fighting against the evil of Princess Ahmanet.
Gameplay
The game universe expands as you progress further into the game. The large map needs some exploring to open up completely, which means you have to roam around the map all the while discovering cool items along the way. If you are attacked by an enemy and you fail to survive, then you are reincarnated as another Prodigium soldier who must now retrieve the valuables you collected, from your old body. Sounds easy? It isn’t, because your old body will turn into a zombie once you die, and it will attack you at all costs.
You must defeat Princess Ahmanet and her forces at all costs and escape the tomb before it collapses. In that regard, the game gives you to separate endings. The way the game ends depends on the choices you make during your survival.
Final Thoughts
The Mummy Remastered is the perfect game for The Mummy fans and for those who like alternate endings. The game is designed to be fun, thrilling, and riveting all at once, so you won’t feel bored at any point.
