Business simulations are quite interesting because you get to test your skills in a very exciting way. Two Point Hospital is bringing in that unique perspective since it requires us to create an empire of hospitals and ensure that they are functioning exactly as expected. But as we know, in the business world nothing is perfect, so there are all kinds of challenges, things to face and it’s definitely going to get extremely demanding out there. But that’s what makes Two Point Hospital fun right off the bat.

The cool thing in Two Point Hospital is that yes, you do have to run a hospital. Granted, the patients have comical and fictitious ailments to bring in some levity to the experience. Yet at the same time, what you will notice is that the game continues to expand and grow, and you do find yourself dealing with all kinds of unique challenges too. The game does a great job at showing you that yes, you do need to find the best equipment and manage your team, otherwise the business will fail.

As a hospital administrator, you need to not only build rooms and amenities, but you also must extend the hospital to new plots. There are all kinds of management tasks, not to mention you need to hire people as well. All these little things are important, they add character to the game, while bringing you lots of fun perspectives and features. It’s always nice to get into the mix and try out something new, and the best part is that you will end up enjoying the experience since it’s truly creative and innovative.

Aside from the fictional stuff they add for comedic purposes, you will have to deal with epidemics, but also have to focus on the overall performance. The game does a very good job at rating the experience of patients and you do need to try and satisfy them as much as you can.

As always, your focus is to try and be the best manager that you can. Of course there are some situations where you didn’t do some things right, your patients ended up worse and so on, all of these things will affect the gameplay. It’s cool to see that the game has a sandbox mode, there are also competitive and cooperative play modes. There’s also Steam Workshop support, which means you can add a whole bunch of cool elements into the mix.

The soundtrack is great here, albeit on the comedic side, but also suitable for the subject matter. When it comes to visuals, they are great for what this game is supposed to be. The cartoony aspect is greatly implemented, but you also have a more serious approach to it as well. Which is great, because it encourages you to take all these tasks and challenges seriously. That’s the cool thing about the game, and it certainly complements the amazing gameplay.

We believe that Two Point Hospital is a great business simulation game. It borrows many elements from tycoon titles (and the classic Theme Hospital), while also having enough to stand on its own. Yes, it does take a bit of getting used to, but the great customization, the fact you can play in Sandbox or choose a Campaign mode is very good. There’s a lot of stuff to be had here, and it all comes down to what you are interested in. As a whole package, Two Point Hospital is one of the better business simulation games, because it doesn’t take itself too seriously, yet it also has a deep approach towards simulating certain business tasks and ideas.
